The event was recognised at the 2015 EVCOM awards as being one of the year’s standout events. The combined team of Entourage Live, Giggle Group (content) and Anna Valley (AV) won a highly commended award for Best Outdoor Event; bronze awards for Best Public Event and Technical Supplier of the Year; the silver award for Best B2C Activation; and the gold award for Best Use of Venue.
Working closely with the Sky Creative team, we produced a complex and atmospheric event at one of London’s most historic venues – the Tower of London. The location presented unique challenges, including: the need to crane lift most of the event materials and infrastructure into moat; and a second 70-ton crane to install the temporary structures for a presentation cinema, VIP party space, press interview and staff areas.
The show was designed to allow the audience entrance through the moat, flanked by flaming fires. Dragons were projected onto the Tower Walls; and host Sue Perkins presented a live show from a purpose-built studio. The audience were treated to an exclusive viewing of the first episode in a VIP cinema, before retreating to an exclusive afterparty – all hosted within specially customised temporary structures inside the moat walls.
